Caliber Coffee brand puts out great coffee while guns blazing, trained on the target. Caliber utilizes gun calibers to clearly illustrate the different roast levels of their coffee. So you can take a light 9mm, a middle caliber like the .45 cal then you get to the really dark roasts like the 357 Magnum and the .50 cal deluxe mega dark ultra premium hollow-point Gatling gun of coffees. I might be exaggerating a little, but not by much! If you get a “shot” and you are not “bulletproof” you should pick up a “round” of Caliber Coffee Today!
The coffee we are reviewing today is the .45 cal medium roast from Caliber Coffee Roasters out of Richmond Heights Missouri. Caliber coffee is a balanced medium bodied coffee featuring a fresh, warm aroma with a soothingly smooth taste. It is quite enjoyable served in a latte, or solo in an espresso and in my favorite the French Press. Ultimately what I like about this coffee is the balance. It has a minor acidic quality that comes through nicely in an unassuming way. It has a dark chocolate and cashew feel with just hint of spice, as it continues to cool the fruitiness starts to come through to the surface leaving you satisfied, but longing for another gulp. Overall this is a great daily coffee to be enjoyed in various drinks throughout the day. I am a big fan of private reserve coffees and harder to find plantation grown coffee, that said Caliber Coffee’s .45 cal is a great daily coffee, make sure you buy a few bags of the roast of your choice and drink gallons regularly.
